Installing TFS Plugin for Eclipse

I’ve been doing some Android development with Eclipse lately.  I chose Eclipse because of its popularity and because of the features it supports.  I’ve personally had no issues with developing with it.  However, I’ve been using Visual Studio for other development, and have relied on TFS as the choice for source control.  With the latest version of TFS, and also available on tfspreview.com, we can now connect source control to other development environments, including Eclipse.

To install the Eclipse plugin, first install the Eclipse plugin, using these directions.  Once this has been installed, it should be available to you in the Window > Show View > Team Explorer menu option, as shown here (courtesy of tfspreview.com).  You will be able to connect to a Team Foundation Server instance using a side window on the right.

If you are using TFS preview, tfspreview.com has documentation available for connecting to it with the Eclipse plugin.  You can read more about that here.
